France, 2000s
Pierre Paulin designed the iconic pumpkin armchair in the late 1960s as part of a suite for Georges Pomidou's residence at the Palais Élysée. He reissued it in 2007 for Ligne Roset. Made of molded polyurethane with a swiveling base, here upholstered in a soft blue velvet, this pair of chairs are both elegant and deeply comfortable.
