Pair of Walnut Nightstands with Hairpin Legs in the Style of George Nelson

By Highlands Woodcraft

United States, 1950s
This pair of walnut nightstands, modeled after the designs of George Nelson for Herman Miller, were produced by Highlands Woodcraft of Massachusetts in the mid-1950s. Each cabinet door has two deep shelves and opens onto more storage space. Below is a drawer. The case sits on aluminum hairpin legs and features striking round aluminum knobs with ebonized centers.

We also have a corresponding pair of dressers.
