By Highlands Woodcraft

United States, 1950s
This pair of walnut nightstands, modeled after the designs of George Nelson for Herman Miller, were produced by Highlands Woodcraft of Massachusetts in the mid-1950s. Each cabinet door has two deep shelves and opens onto more storage space. Below is a drawer. The case sits on aluminum hairpin legs and features striking round aluminum knobs with ebonized centers.
