Walnut Sideboard with White Marble Top and Leather Panels

By Paul McCobb

United States, 1950s
This walnut sideboard/buffet for H. Sacks & Sons of Massachusetts shows Paul McCobb's exacting selection of materials and attention to detail. An inset top of white marble sits above six small drawers with aluminium pulls. A pair of trifold doors with inlaid black leather panels open to reveal an interior fitted with two additional drawers, two adjustable shelves and two sliding tray-shelves. The back of the sideboard is finished for placing mid-room.
