Jack Wolfe, a Boston-area artist who passed away in 2007, was one of the most promising young artists of the 1950s. The renowned art historian Meyer Shapiro called Wolfe’s work “significant for the history of 20th-century American art.” His work is the collections of many art institutions, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Carnegie Institute, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.
