This striking abstract painting by American artist Jack Wolfe features a dark palette accented with bold color. The renowned art historian Meyer Shapiro called Wolfe’s work “significant for the history of 20th century American art.” His paintings are in the collections of many museums, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Carnegie Institute, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. He passed away in 2007.
